As a society we are duty-bound to stand up to antisemitism. There have recently been horrific acts of violence in Manchester & attacks in London. All forms of racism are repugnant . In the 1930's Oswald Moseley's Fascists became a massive movement of hate. The Moseley Fascists were defeated & humiliated because people in solidarity stood up to them.. I am sure that we will defeat antisemitism . Immediate solidarity is needed to humiliate the bigots & instead rejoice in our diversity & unity of values.

Look who's talking!!! What did he think his policies would create down the line??? The only thing is - that - unlike his political progeny he at least BELIEVED in what he was doing even though it created exactly what he's banging on about. Jesus!

Actions are need on both sides, actions that are only from institutions will only be partially effective Clearly these attacks are the result of conflating the actions of Israel and Jewish people, Jewish people need to be clear on where they stand on the actions of Israel Edit: obviously the attacks the attacks are aimed the perpetrators of what is seen as the attacks in Gaza (and presumably Lebanon soon), so what I am saying is Jewish people in the UK need to say they have not supported those attacks (or they have gone to far, or they have supported all of them, whatever is their perspective)

Ayatolah BBC as we Iranian call it since it has been supporting the Islamic Terrorist Regime for 47 years and despite the massacre of Jan.2026 in Iran still continues to support the criminal dictatorship. So from humanitarian point of view, your generation has to explain their partnership in the crimes of Iran Dictatorship against humanity! #StopExecutionsinIran #IranMassacre #DigitalblackoutinIran

Throughout my entire life where political decisions require a sacrifice it almost always falls on the young. It’s not going to change either, we’ve become too individualist with far too many only interested in personal short term gain. The generation who fought the war understood collective responsibility, each generation since has forgotten in their own way.

What would help is the media starting to differentiate between the political Zionist movement of the Netanyahu regime and Judaism. Zionism is just the Israeli version of fascism that has sadly radicalised a lot of Israelis into a nation of hate. It has nothing to do with Jews around the world or their religion. Netanyahu however has very cleverly linked Zionism to Judaism and the Jewish identity so they can quickly use the usual "mute switch" of calling anyone criticising him or Isreal as antisemites.

There is a well-known history in the UK of tensions between the afro-carribean community and the Muslim community. Strangely, black people who have been complaining about discrimination and prejudice for decades seem to think that there's nothing wrong with being discriminatory and prejudiced against Muslim people! Badenoch's attempt to remove the democratic right to protest from Palestinians and their supporters in Britain is a symptom of that prejudice. Not to mention that she is *also* being "influenced" (some people say "controlled") by covert Zionist groups whose purpose is to represent the interests of the neo-Nazi government of Israel. This whole "antisemitism" stunt stinks to high heaven. It's very similar to the smear campaign aimed at Jeremy Corbyn in the run-up to the 2019 General Election, which *ALSO* undermined our democracy. I am getting *SICK* of anti-British, Zionist influence in this country. We need to put our democracy back on a firm footing once again.

If you're upset by the phrase then I think you should interrogate why that is. The first and second Intifadas were a reaction to Israeli brutality, opression and apartheid. Pretending that they happened because the Palestinians are just bloodthirsty and want to kill Jews is totally ridiculous.

I can’t believe this imbecile could make significant gains into UK politics, all due to people voting for the Green Party out of protest against Labour and the Conservatives. People need to think about who they vote for any why. People also need to consider the impact of their “protest” vote. Vote for who you believe will do the best job for the country for the next 5 years, that way you get what you vote for and change later if the party doesn’t deliver.

I haven't heard anything more stupid in a long time. Is the decline in the birth rate a problem? It's a huge problem, because it's not just about some personal life choice, but about the future economy and the system as a whole. At each age, we consume a specific product and service. So, if the number of children decreases significantly, then the need for goods and services that children consume will also decrease. Companies that offer these services will go bankrupt, the number of schools and kindergartens will be reduced - along with all the staff. Toy stores will be closed, entertainment and catering establishments that are geared towards children's services will be reduced. And as these children get older, the demand for the next round of services and products, which are, for example, 20+ years old, will decrease.

It’s beyond crazy to change PMs. The conservatives did not serve the country or themselves well by doing so. So now we face the same situation. Starmer’s cabinet should just tell him to up his game, and be a better PM rather than start the game of musical PM chairs. Starmer should look himself in the mirror and say I will be that strong, analytical and calm PM that everyone else claimed I was before the GE. Time to find a spine and take the big decisions needed to save the UK.

As a Dane I'm for the first time feeling very much proud and a complete respect for the king and diplomacy of our British neighbours! I especially liked the bit giving a clock-bawl; incredibly it still was in the existence - but also a somewhat British humor: to a ballshaped person, who makes a lot of noice, but little complex information.

I've lived in Germany for over 40 years now and have only dim memories of John Major. However, I saw another interview with him a year or so ago and was very impressed then by his knowledge, his aims, his wisdom and his will to do his best. This interview confirmed all that but also revealed his decency, modesty, acuity, sense of humour etc. It's a great interview - thank you very much. The situation with German politics is similar to how John Major describes Britain today. All the best to him.
