The pub is just a place to go and get intoxicated. A drug house. But nobody ever refers to it like that because they all love it so much. And things were still naff back in this guy's 'glory days' of decades ago.

I thought maga were adamant they didn't want children to hear about trans people? So why is Trump talking to this child about it? The kid just wants to talk about his achievements but Trump just wants to try & sow seeds of hate.

My friend who is boomer generation is disgusted with starmer over the glasses goes on about it all the time calling him corrupted but when I pointed out farage has taking in a personal gift of 5 million to his personal account their response was well they are all at it I dont get it its like farages 💩 dont stink and the media in this country have undertaken a anti starmer campaign from day one of taking office

I quite agree with your caller. Cask ale especially should have a protected status like certain cheeses or wines. If the Japanese had invented it the kids would be queueing round the block for a TikTok holding a pint.

Starmer isn’t toxic to me. He’s intelligent and pauses to consider before acting in the nation’s best interests. He’s also prepared to stand up to Trump (unlike Reform). Unfortunately, he seems to get blamed for all the nations’ ills by the right wing press, who should know better but are heavily biased. His besmirched reputation is undeserved.

Starmer: dead man walking. Labour arrived into power with their snouts dripping from the trough and didn't even have the decency to wipe their bibs because they couldn't conceive of a world in which the middle classes don't take backhanders and aren't corrupt to the core. The beauty of Labour's situation is that the party they hollowed out is full of incompetents and they can't find anyone else fit to lead them. They can actually because they have several corrupt people who could replace corrupt Starmer. We have to accept that, in their jealousy of our socialism, the middle classes have infiltrated and gutted our party and destroyed a political party that would at one time have known these people are tories. They couldn't make it as Conservatives so they hijacked our political party. The triad of sickness: Blair, Mandelson and Campbell were the tories who started it all.

My father, who at one point dealt with people at high level, said one thing I remember. You don't accept gifts from people (at government / business level) because almost certainly at some point they may require a 'favour' back from you. He would be horrified, I am sure, at the lack of probity of our elected if not other public officials.

Murdoch destroys every country he operates in by lying to the voters decade after decade. Eventually the gaslighting makes a country easy pickings for Putin. Its history now in the UK not speculation. Damage is done and the UK is not going to recover.

Is that the same JOB that worked on BBC Newsnight for a few weeks and was suddenly kicked off, while Nick Ferrari was picking up a prestigious award 'at the top of his game' for journalism.

The trouble is, Farage is a lying criminal, and there should be laws in place to stop rogue parties/admins like him from being able to lie and cheat their way through BUT establishment stooges like Starmer are the problem. He's got 5 years to put some safeguards in place - PR for example, as voted for by his own fcking party members - and he could also make new laws to investigate Reform etc, but he's more interested in keeping the status quo for the establishment and he'll happily roll over and allow our country to continue it's demise into a cess-pit of hate and division - it suits the uniparty, it keeps their donors rich and the poor barefoot and pregnant. Starmer is just another soft-Tory stooge, I'll cry no tears for the wnker!

*"Conflict avoidance employee psychology."* Workers don't want to be accused or caught up in a situation that could lead to them being reprimanded or their employment terminated. So they give in whenever the person asking for a key is asking confidently and appears reasonable to the employees, to the hotel staff. Carry a "portable" door handle to floor lock telescoping bar.

Going to the pub stopped being attractive when they all installed TV's, fruit machines and other gadgets that made a lot of noise and stopped people talking to each other.

Fascinating just how long it can take the UK to realize that community spaces matter well after theyve all died off. Independent pubs are mostly gone and replaced with wetherspoons whose CEO makes so much he cab afford to undercut the locals and buy competition. Capital hates community. Always has, always will.

I can’t really find a reason to fault his logic since most Brits would benefit from drinking a lot more in order to cope with the utter shame of their cowardice with respect to fighting terrorist invaders.

Trump’s ‘everyone is mean to me’, ‘they stole it!’, ‘windmills’, ‘men in women’s sports’, ‘batteries and sharks’ and ‘I know more about everything than anyone’ Dozy Don’s favourite rants.

You are being naive James. The media outlets are controlled by billionaires and they dictate what gets reported. It is corruption, pure and simple, and the “journalists” who bend the knee to their wealthy overlords and write distorted narrative and, in some cases, lies, have no backbone or principles. Welcome to dystopia.

This is the calibre of press room reporters now. My father was the head of a newsroom. If one of his reporters had asked a question like this given the events of that day they would have been sacked or at the very least demoted to the newsroom coffee runner.

Ahh yes, what qualifies for journalism in the US now. Either asking nonsensical, probably conspiracy theory-derived, questions about Kamikaze dolphins *or* getting the boys together to try to run up on daycare facilities wearing ski masks while wielding cameras. Walter Cronkite would be so proud.

Should have asked him how is the £42,000 bribe going. This is all BS. We know it and they know it. This will stop within weeks if you turn, tow, deny any small boats crossing. No one is going to pay £3000 when they see no successful UK landings. We then reinforce the Channel Tunnel and Ireland routes.

So the tories who created the farage boats because of brexshit..are platformed like farage ..and labour are to blame..no wonder this country is broken....the tories admit they didnt even know the impact of brexshit on the farage boats....now they are going for the echr...its about taking your rirghts away at work...at court level...btw in the last year labiur have cut the numbers by 6000 ...not reported....brexshit caused the 200,000 .....and this numpty and nick backed brexshit...own it ...its your fault

The pubs were social media before it existed. Now your social interactions are filtered through some sycophantic sociopathic AI built by a billionaire who would rather see you die than have a living wage.

ALWAYS lock the door in any hotel!!! I already know that and I’m a guy 🤷‍♂️ If you haven’t got one yet, get yourself one of those portable travel door locks for hotel rooms and apartments. AND lock your door. You don’t have to be a woman to do it either. We are all defenceless when we sleep!

In the 1980's beer was priced similar to a loaf of bread, it's wasn't priced as a luxury. Now, it's priced a luxury with a value proposition. The value proposition just isn't there, if it's a special occasion then it is. As an elder millennial, I've never seen value in it. I rather be social with my friends by other means.

I don't drink but ill have non alcoholic beer when i go to the pub and even that is £5 a pint and that not subject to the same taxes. Because of that, i rarely go to the pub unless my band has been booked to play there and I'll get free drinks.
