The question is who's the problem, Stammer or the Labour party. I think it's the Labour party in which can, just calling for the figurehead to go changes nothing.
MPs agreed to abide by the referendum and then when the vote came in they spent the next 2 years arguing about it instead of working together to deliver what the majority of voters wanted and we are still waiting. On top of that our population has exploded and our public services like the NHS, sewage, water, roads, transport and energy can’t cope. Unfortunately now we are in a vicious circle
I was at a funeral today and asked the chap I was talking to about his options on the government… he in a nutshell he said .. they promised to be tough on crime then let loads of people out of prison and now aren’t even sending criminals to prison anymore just letting them walk out with ‘suspended sentences’ they promised to make working worth while and have upped benefits then upped working people’s taxes to pay for it, they promised to stop illegal immigration but I read we are paying 6 million a day just to pay for hotels while being told we have no money for defence and schools! Was interesting to hear even folks who don’t really ‘follow politics’ seem to think this..kind of hard to really argue with him tbf!
"Our polls tell us..." I'm 67. I've always voted in every election. How can it be that I have NEVER been asked a question by any of these pollsters? (I'm discounting as conspiracy theory that they know which way I voted!) Apropos of nothing, I've never served on a jury either!
The U.S. is short of weapons, Trump has lost the war, but he feeds lies to the press every day
not sure i want the option of a Christmas tree, in fact she seems to promote hate so must be left
Starmer: "People hate me, how could this have happened?" The level of delusional people running our country would be hilarious if it wasn't so terrifying.
What this discussion highlights is the lack of intelligence and reasoning from the average person. Young metropolitan women are concerned about Gaza and the Middle East? Terrifying. . .
Can't stand Lowe. I'm voting Reform and hoping they will make a change. If not I will keep looking.
internal enemies, then external... Britain will survive
Restore are honest… they’ve said that the changes will be drastic and it will hurt. They’re not selling lies - that’s the difference between all the parties. The transparency is a breath of fresh air. All big decisions would be voted on (like brexit), journalists take half a sentence of what they’ve said and deliver it as truth because they’re completely anti-establishment unlike all the other parties on offer.
Very interesting podcast , once again great topics . I agree with Lee that local elections act as free hit to tell the government we have had enough .
Stasi is here until his controller, Bliar, releases him. Get used to it.
Politicians are much more intent on feathering their nests - running the country is the very LAST item on their to do list.....
Excellent analysis of the way the country is thinking and the abject failure of politicians to deliver anything for people expecting change.
The reason why the word Establishment is used in this context is that to fully describe and explain what it is can take over an hour. Suffice it to say it is not only our entire civil service, it is all of our political, diplomatic, scientific and educational institutions, hundreds of quangos, 20 or more Think Tanks and multinational corporations. The Bank of England, House of Lords, party grandees, around 400 aristocrats and oligarchs, our monarchy, a hole host of societies secret or otherwise such as the Pilgrim and Fabian Societies. The WB, BIS, IMF, DAVOS, WEF, WTO, Bilderberg, Trilateral Commission, all our professions such as the BMA, The BBC, Trade Unions, the British military, Military Intelligence and Judiciary. The Club of Rome, RIIA and CFR. The EU, UN and all of their various associated institutions, plus around a dozen very well financed so called charitable foundations such as the Ford, Rockefeller and Carnegie. Plus I am sure many more I can't be bothered to think about right now. Wish Farage good luck with that lot as he is going to need it.
JOHNSON! THATCHER! TRUSS!! I COULD GO ON....?????🙄🙄🙄😂😂😂😂😂
The best thing the Prime Minister can do is introduce proportional representation like MMP for the next election to stop Labour being destroyed
Get Lowe in - 2029, here we go, the rebuilding begins.
Labour MPs must find the courage to get rid of Starmer - or voters will get rid of Labour MPs asap. Starmer is far concerned about Netanyahu than he is about the challenges facing the British people.
Some areas of this country look like gazza .
I just don’t get folk who think the rich and big business will pay for everything. Welfare must be cut….. being out of work should be hard, if it isn’t it becomes like it is now a career choice where some earn more than those in work. Cutting welfare and stopping illegal immigrants would support increased defence spending which is sorely needed. The new establishment are those MP’s who quickly figure out the their job is lucrative and immediately forget to act for their constituents. Being out of work should be painful. Welfare should cover the minimum whilst seeking a job. If welfare would be hard folk would work. It’s simple. We need a cross party group to completely overhaul healthcare and the NHS. A mixed system is the only way forward. The government could fund premiums for private health insurance for those under fifty….. it would probably be cheaper than NHS provided services. The transition would likely take a generation but needs doing. Stop using the NHS as a convenient political weapon.
The only way to go is Rupert lowe and his Restore party. For the people of the electorate who want to see change. Vote Restore.
This show is always so negative about everything. The UK must be full of miserable people. Maybe if the sun shined more.
I was a labour voter but I stop voting labour after tony Blair never voted for them since
Starmer knows his time is up thats why he's spending so much time sucking up to his mates in the EU he's hoping to get a top job with them when he gets the boot
I am probably reform in the general election but I live in Birmingham - Sutton Coldfield. We have a decent Tory councillor and a strong green opponent. I do not want a green councillor especially as Greens may hold power in a NOC coalition. I will vote Tory to ensure the Green idiot is kept out
It's very easy to roughly determine peoples' voting intentions, there's: the 'somewheres' (Reform, Conservatives, Restore & Advance), the 'anywheres' (Labour), and the "where am I?" (Greens & Lib Dems).
Unfortunately this tragedy was the result people falling for the arrogance and hubris of a consummate, for lack of a better description, bull sh*t artist
This manic pursuit of net zero is the principal reason why all manufactured goods, services and utilities are so horrendously expensive.
I just want a Prime Minister who doesn’t hate British citizens. Is that really too much to ask?
I'm delighted to hear that millions of people claim they will never vote Labour or Tory ever again. That is also my intention. However, I am not naive enough to think that Reform are going to provide a panacea. Should Reform form a future government and let the country down again, then we are in dangerous territory.
We have had change - change for the worse, and after the last few years before Labour that is quite some achievment by Starmer!
Re the health service spending. What never gets mentioned is the sprialling obesity with causes massive costs much earlier and for much longer in poeple's lives. Until toxic food culture is tackled, they could never pour enough money to keep up.
Along with Blair, and Brown, Starmer, will be remembered as the ones that destroyed the Labour party for decades. If they ever come back.
Not change! it’s worse, stop treating people like we’re simple for goodness sake when will they listen
The tories where way better than this Labour Party tbf. But they need some time out and defeat to make the changes we want.
The electorate wanted Brexit, the political and civil servant class did not IMHO.
This was a great discussion, loved listening to this
I had thought May was our worst PM since Neville Chamberlain. Starmer has now taken that mantle. A complete anti-Midas, everything he touches turns to dust.
Surely it’s the Civil Service that makes or breaks policies. They blocked Brexit. They ignore illegal immigration’s issues. They are more influential in a political party’s success or failure than the politicians within. Maybe senior mandarins should be selected by the winning party following an election?
"The only argument the electorate can find to support the free market is from advocates who are dead" Folk think the answer is always better gov/ more gov - it is only EVER less govt
Labour did deliver change! For the worse.
At the moment I cannot even listen to him or his “team”. Can’t bear it. It’s too stressful
I despise Starmer and his cronies I can’t even stand looking at him, he’s the worst pm and so called human ever 😡
Very objective view of a chaotic situation.
The 'Corporate Agenda' crushed all healthcare systems around the world, with 'healthcare for profit' (everything is for profit) So, it's not 'broken' - efficient, effective organization had a service with all zones need to d to save lives, help the sick. As for 'Labour' or 'conservative' parties are No longer the original parties! Manipulated by outside forces (Zionists). I would vote for Anyone who dares to speak aid to Gaza and speaks out on 'Americas obliteration if democracy by Trump's gang of thugs - the Epstein regime. Corby is a man of courage and conviction - a true 'Labour' party man! Again, Zionist agenda strategically took him out. Read Holden's book - it's astounding - something all Britons need to know.
The tradition of voting in loyalty to a party is dead. There is no loyalty from the parties towards the British people and so it is a waste of time.
Read Starmer's wiki page he's a Marxist. "The International Revolutionary Marxist Tendency (IRMT), founded in 1965, was an international Marxist group based in France, led by Michel Pablo, also known as Michael Raptis, the former secretary of the Trotskyist Fourth International. As well as number of English-language publications in the 1960s and 1970,[5] the British section, Socialist Alternatives, was behind the magazine Socialist Alternatives[6] of which current UK Prime Minister and Labour Party leader Sir Keir Starmer was an editorial board member from 1986 to 1989"
Hate Starmer? More loathe, abhor, abominate would be a lot closer to what people think of Starmer-and Labour!
Jacob Rees mogg said he was tasked with getting rid of 5000+ EU laws etc by David Cameron and never got any passed, just as much his fault as was with Cameron and his government and future leaders, how lame is that. It just really highlights how much of a significant change, in fact upheaval of the political system there needs to be for anything to make sense again.
Please don't no more Labour, voted for them last, but Never again
We are also fed up of the phrase “further and faster”.
very vocal, fast to anger Green people are getting rather carried away with it round me
If the may7th vote is disastrous as the pols indicate, i can see PR being on the table for the main elections in '29. Labour and Conservative big hitters will see it as their last stand before oblivion.
During covid, people found they could sit at home, get furlow money and claim other benefits and be no worse off, or even better off. Governments have made a 'rod for their own backs'.
The NHS is a brilliant concept in theory, but it can never work in practice. Labour's 1945 government thought people would look after their own health slow but surely and the NHS could be disbanded. The government found out the hard way (anything for free) people want, as with disability benefits.
DT waking up into the nightmare that wealth taxes are very popular. Oh dear, what will their billionaire donors do next?
Starmer is duplicitous. Says that he did not fall in with America but still allowed America to use British bases and sent troops to defend airspace and also specialised mine sweeping personnel. He would probably have sent ships (for defensive operations) if we had them to send. He is always duplicitous. There are some good video compilations of him saying one thing and then the opposite on multiple topics.
Not long to go now until "Protect Mayhem"
People voters from both Conservative and Labour have been let down by them and doubt if they will ever vote for these two parties. It’s the politicians fault for not listening to the people so deserve what they get. New parties are starting up and are listening to the people. Bring it on at the next election.
I'm sorry but I think opinion polling is the most pointless exercise in the world.
"We have a lot of Reform voters who listen to this pod-carst and don't think we are part of the Establishment ". Does any one want to tell him ?
That focus group hit the nail on the head regarding Starmer and by association Labour! There is no hope if we have Labour for 3 more years.
How long would it take and how much would it cost to build a pipeline carrying 20 million barrels / day, completely circumventing the straits.
Although he doesnt vote, Peter McCormack has been fighting the good fight on X against socialist economy idealogies the past week
There should be a way of having a general election mid term if the party in power in the view of a majority of people they have not carried out what they set in their manifesto. Of course things can be blown off course due to world events. But Labour have lied about everything from freezing council tax, making energy cheaper and being beyond reproach with the way they conduct themselves.
The word "authentic " has been polluted. Can't one use SINCERE.
Liz Truss tried to make the case and got screwed by her own party
Its time to WIPE Out Liebour/ Torys forever folks!! Vote REFORM!!
OMG there are some weirdo’s there, especially those thinking the Greens are the answer to their problems 🤣🤣🤣
When Politicians talk about growth, people know they will just be 'taxed to the hilt', on their extra salary, they earn and they will be no better off, so why work?
Similar thing happened in France a couple of election cycles ago. The traditional Left and Right parties that had swapped power for many years all of a sudden fell away to be replaced by Macron and Le Pen. In their system the anti Le Pen vote has kept her out so far but each presidential election sees them edging closer.
The Torys and Labour richly deserve the electoral oblivion that is awaiting them. They have spent the last 30 years lying and gaslighting the British public and now they have no credibility, and nobody trusts them.
Sadly the political class and the civil service have collectively failed the UK population since WW2. Big banks and multi millionaires who look only for short term gains are the real reason we see so little "change" we need more long term investment, particularly with energy production and distribution. While we have the most expensive electricity costs anywhere in Europe this country will struggle to progress. Brexit is a classic example of an opportunity that has been bungled by the political class.
Some of us are likely to vote for the person rather than the party. These are local elections here in England so whilst sending messages to the parties is all very useful to indicate displeasure with past peformances one needs to consider how councillors have performed in local affairs and what their challengers propose to do differently.
Change is needed, there is no change without revolution, there’s never been a bloodless revolution.
Why talk over Scarlett just as she was saying " that a large section of younger progressives who are very motivated by things such as the conflict in the MIddle East who might have views that are more unpalatable than a lot of people might think"? I wanted to know what she was getting at and to expand on that. Camilla and Tim: don't step in too soon - the devil is in the detail!
US citizens want to know how a UK cargo ship is attacked by IRGC in the strait and just “crickets” from your government and PM🤷♂️
Tories and Labour getting wiped out can only be compared to the situation when Mastercard and Visa lose all their duopoly dominant market position. Quite a feat!
9:30 - The educated middle-class vote Labour because it's their way of saying they understand the plight of the plebs and sympathise. Voting every 5 years for a nominally working-class political party assuages some inherent guilt they have of being privileged.
Lefties think there’s a magic money tree. Who do they think supplies the money for the public sector? It’s rich who provide the jobs to pay for the taxes to pay for public sector spending.
Does this man Starmer ever consider that good labour following Councillors with years of service. Will be swept out of Councils..Just because he is so hated by the population ? The man could not care less what happens to them ,as long as he can carry on his destroyer position in number 10 ....The man's an anger creator... unfortunately he will probably continue to grow the position.
Public moaning Labour lied !! They were warned ...
Unpalatable, says Scarlet. That's one word for their views.
It wouldn't matter in this local election if more than half of the voting population split the votes for Reform,Restore or Tory, it's a massive warning to the Labour we're coming for them next general election..
Maybe the voters are looking for value for money from their tax contributions.!
Starmer has bought in change, the whole country is much poorer than when he got in on the lowest vote ever, only 20% of electorate voted for Lie-bore
Under this grotesque, frighteningly incompetent and utterly corrupt Labour party, the vastly overpopulated and borderless United Kingdom is on a cold, dark, dangerous, destructive, debilitating, destitute, dismal and depressing journey, en route to a truly dystopian destination.
CONSERVATIVES WILL TAKE MORE SEATS THAN LABOUR
He has already done so much damage to the country with his unreversible immigration policies.
It all boils down to a lack of education about basic economic principles.
Scarlet’s vocal fry becomes so extreme at 41.58 that she just basically croaks-out at the end of the sentence. Gotta love the elite, eh? 😂
Join and Vote Restore Britain and Rupert Lowe
Kier Starmer is a narcissist who loves the sound of his own monotoned voice 🤮 He has single handed exposed how corrupt and devious the establishment are from his own incompetent actions so I do thank him for that 👏🏼
Anyone with a shred of self-awareness would've already resigned. He either has no self-awareness or he's an appointment of the Blob and they're insisting he stay in-place to complete "Operation: Destroy Britain".
The conservatives "under" Kemi is just battalion 14 from the south park movie
The crazy thing about all of this is that every institution is set up to make government work for labour and it still isn’t working for them. If Reform win the next election, they will not be able to govern because every single institution , judge , the civil service, the police will work against them. What happens then?
Liebour and tories are still out of touch in fact on a different planet from their ex voters
